During my approximately 7 years of residency at the Ege University Plastic Surgery Clinic, I received active training in all areas of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. During this period, I also performed extremity replantation and reconstructions in the field of hand and microsurgery. For nearly two years, I stayed in contact with the Hand and Microsurgery Hospital, participating in operations related to these fields. This training was further enhanced through working directly under Dr. Ayan Gülgönen at the American Hospital’s Plastic Surgery Clinic.
Thanks to the references I received and my work, I was awarded a scholarship from the United States and worked as a fellow at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. During my time there, I worked with Dr. Maria Siemionow in clinical replantation and transplantation areas, and also participated in experimental programs aimed at developing devices capable of detecting ischemia-reperfusion damage.
